CD8 includes:
Anthem, Goodyear, Peoria, Surprise, El Mirage, Lichfield Park, Sun City, Youngtown, Glendale, New River, Sun City West, and Phoenix (North of Pinnacle Peak Rd, West of I17)

We have had very low GOP voter turnout in Special Elections nationwide over the past few months. Last month the GOP lost the WI SD10 race with a drop from 60,000 GOP voters turning out in ’16, to just 9,000 GOP voters turning out in January, resulting in the loss of the seat.

The Maricopa County Recorder expects very low turnout in this election:
CD8 Election Facts

Based on historical data we anticipate 4% of registered voters to vote at the polls on Election Day, which is approximately 18,000 voters total. This number helped determine the number of polling locations.
A standard polling location can reasonably accommodate 2,500-3,000 voters.
